CMSE Major in Undergraduate Data Science
The CMSE Undergraduate Data Science program focuses on applying data science. Students use computational techniques, mathematical modeling, statistical thinking, data manipulation, and ethical considerations to solve problems in data science. Students of this program are encouraged to take a synergistic minor where data science can be applied. Example minors include students studying biology, physics, sports management, journalism, and actuarial science. Graduates of this program are equipped to pursue successful careers as applied data scientists, machine learning engineers, quantitative scientists, and specialists in their chosen fields.
