MSU offers a support for research and projects in data science These include 

MSU Libraries 

The library offers support with Data Management plans, data discovery, and data visualization. Librarians can also help support using census data in classes and research. For data related questions please contact Jonathan Barber, Data Librarian: barber85@msu.edu.

The library also offers help with GIS research, data discovery and GIS class instruction. For library based assistance with GIS, please contact the GIS Librarian: Amanda Tickner atickner@msu.edu.

The Digital Scholarship Lab is another research support the libraries offers for Data Sciences. The 10,000-square-foot space in the Main Library features a 360-degree immersive visualization room that accommodates up to 15 students along with a Virtual Reality room for experimentation with VR headsets. The lab includes dedicated lab space and informal gathering areas to facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration. Students and researchers in any major may use the advanced and graphics-intensive computing software and interactive visualization for research projects and scholarly exploration. Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT) 

Professional service and research unit at Michigan State University. CSTAT collaborates on research projects and provides statistical support and services to MSU affiliated faculty, staff, graduate students, and off-campus clients.

ITS Analytics and Data Solutions group 

BI & Analytics team empowers proactive, data-driven decision-making through cutting-edge technology and services. We provide enterprise reporting, analytics, and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and IBM Cognos, enabling informed choices across the organization.
